Lady GaGa Invades Cleveland! (Finally!)

At long last, Lady GaGa has decided to grace Cleveland with her presence! I started preparing for this day months ago. I organized a group of girls to attend the event, and one guy. And I warned them all in advance: dressing as GaGa was mandatory. Pants were optional. Vodka would be present.

We organized a Pre-GaGa potluck at my apartment, with everyone bringing a different dish. We had fried chicken, pasta salad, cucumber salad, taco dip, salsa, salsa con queso, fruit salad and... DISCO STICKS! Lena works at Rocky Mountain Chocolate and hooked us up with some chocolate covered pretzels dipped in edible silver confetti! I'm hungry just remembering it.
Edible Disco Sticks!

We nom'd and drank, and then I employed the bf to take some pictures. We had a really fun GaGa photo shoot! Group pictures, individual pictures, pictures with props, poses, etc.

When the cab driver arrived, he was so impressed with our get-ups that he asked for a picture! Then we all piled in, popped some champagne for the ride, and headed into Downtown Cleveland.

Our first stop was at a bar that had advertised free drinks for any GaGa concert go-ers. (Although it turned out to be free drinks for concert go-ers from 9pm-11pm, which made no sense, since that's when the concert was taking place.) As we stepped outside to leave, a man was walking his Great Dane down the street. If you know GaGa, you know she has Great Dane's in a few music videos ('Poker Face,' 'Just Dance,' 'Paparazzi'), and Rachael happened to be dressed as 'Poker Face GaGa.' She stopped this man on the street and asked for a picture with his dog!

I can't read that dog's poker face.
After the bar, we were faced with a long walk to the Gund Arena (AKA Quicken Loans Arena) in high heels and no pants. Luckily, just as the walk was getting uncomfortable, a limo pulled to the side of the road and offered us a ride for only $5! He'd just dropped some people off at the concert but was still on the clock for them. We got to roll up to the show as Lady GaGa herself would've!
Me as 'Beautiful, Dirty, Rich GaGa' and Rachael and 'Poker Face GaGa' pre-show.

We expected that nearly everyone there to be decked out as mini Lady GaGa's... but we were close to the only ones! People were stopping us to take pictures with us, ask us if we made our costumes, etc. We were a hit.

Lady GaGa's show was still the highlight of the night. Her stage show is incredible. It was part Operetta, part concert, 100% awesome.

And of course, the night wouldn't be complete without Taco Bell. Which we went to while still in GaGa Gear!

More GaGa pictures after the jump!
